  • Certificate II in Hospitality - consists of 12competencies that are to be done over a 2 year period

    Students that have a credit transfer with a Certificate I in Hospitality may finish the Certificate II in one year if they are able to gain their 12 service periods in industry in one year.

  • Semester 1 involves planning a Catering or Fashion Company. Areas covered will include WPHS, hygiene, communicating with customers, developing a power point of HACCP processes for the company (Catering) or power point of fabric characteristics for the company (Fashion).
    Certificate I in Hospitality (SIT10213) is on offer for all students in the Catering and Fashion area. Three competencies are covered in Semester 1 - BSBWOR203B ( Work effectively with others), SITXFSA101 (Use hygiene practices for food safety) and SITHFAB203 (Prepare and serve non-alcoholic beverages)

    Semester 2

    3 competencies to be completed to gain a Certificate I in Hospitality:

    SITXCCS101 (Provide information and assistance), SITXWHS101 (Participate in safe work practices), SITHFAB204 ( Prepare and serve espresso coffee)

    Students will run a coffee shop to practice service of drinks and food.

  • Semester 1
    Catering and Fashion Class in Term 1 "I can create that" - sewing unit working with concepts in skirt making. Term 2 a Cafe unit - cooking food suitable for a cafe and observing WPHS and hygiene regulations

    Catering Class in Semester 1 will work on a 'Trendy Cafe Unit' selecting food for a cafe and observing hygiene and WPHS.

  • An 8 week course in basic cooking and sewing.
