Year 10 Fashion and Catering

Semester 1 involves planning a Catering or Fashion Company. Areas covered will include WPHS, hygiene, communicating with customers, developing a power point of HACCP processes for the company (Catering) or power point of fabric characteristics for the company (Fashion).
Certificate I in Hospitality (SIT10213) is on offer for all students in the Catering and Fashion area. Three competencies are covered in Semester 1 - BSBWOR203B ( Work effectively with others), SITXFSA101 (Use hygiene practices for food safety) and SITHFAB203 (Prepare and serve non-alcoholic beverages)

Semester 2

3 competencies to be completed to gain a Certificate I in Hospitality:

SITXCCS101 (Provide information and assistance), SITXWHS101 (Participate in safe work practices), SITHFAB204 ( Prepare and serve espresso coffee)

Students will run a coffee shop to practice service of drinks and food.
